Ordered 50 Mbps internet gettign about 6 Mbps

So i ordered the 50 Mbps internet not long ago and since then my internet has been at 6.4-5 Mbps down and 5.5 ish up, I've been on multiple chats and even had a service tech come out and tell em that it was my lines in my home. So i bought some RG6 cable and bypassed my homes internal wiring by going through a window but that did not fix the issue. Does anyone know what is going on. I called the support and they scheduled another tech to come out and look at it but I don't know if that will fix anything seeing as they already had one come out

Flamepattern,

I was able to locate your account and see that the modem is showing an unusually high number of power adjustments. Does your modem's power cord connect to a surge protector or does it connect directly to an electrical outlet? If it connects to a surge protector, please bypass it and connect your modem directly to the electrical outlet at the wall.

How is your modem currently connected to signal? Are you back on the preexisting wiring or still using the line you ran to bypass the internal wiring? When you have a moment, please log in at http://bit.ly/CoxSpeedTest to run a test hard wired to the modem that will be documented to your account for future reference and review.

Im using the line i ran to bypass the wiring and its not on a surge protector. I have ran the speedtest you linked.

If it is still seeing the power adjustments on the modem with the direct line its likely the cable line having issues with the signal fluctuating to much or possibly a failing filter. With a technician already setup it is likely they would need to test and rerun the coaxial line.

Well after countless web chats and phone calls and two separate tech visits even an escalated ticket you guys were unable to give me the speeds that i ordered. I have replaced all lines in my home and the second tech went as far as replacing my modem and ethernet cords. I am completely unsatisfied and will be changing internet service providers as soon as possible. The support agents that tried to help me all did their job very well.

I got the same package deal and have the same issue.  I was told its UP TO 50.  Not that they guarantee you will get the 50. Such bs if you ask me.
