Only Preferred & Premier tiers given a speed increase

Recently the Preferred & Premier speed tiers in my area were given a free speed increase.  I am on the Ultimate tier and I saw no speed increase.

For people on Preferred/Premier the cost they pay per Gigabit went down.  I'm on Ultimate, the most expensive tier, and it stayed the same.  Why is this?  If it technical isn't feasible to increase speeds further for my tier, I could have at least been given a discount so that my cost per Gb went down like other customers.

Bottom line - I don't get why Cox is improving service to some customers but not others, and not valuing those who give them the most money every month.  Why reward the people providing less revenue to cox and ignore those providing the most revenue to Cox?

Ummm.... no. Ultimate used to be 100 Mbps and now it's 150. I'm no mathematics professor, but that seems to be an increase to me.

I have been at 150Mbps since I signed up with Cox in January 2014 when I moved to a Cox area.      Around mid October, Cox started locally advertising how they are rolling out speed increases at no additional cost, but when I inquired about it I was told it was only for Premier and Preferred tiers.   I'm in Northeast Ohio.

Ohio must be a special area then, because as far as I'm aware, Ultimate was 100 Mbps and Premier was 50 Mbps prior to the speed increase.

Recently it was decided to double the download speeds for our two most popular tiers of service.  Some markets had Ultimate provisioned at 100Mbps and therefore saw their speeds increased to 150Mbps to be in line with our offerings around the country.  Beyond that no further changes have been announced at this time.

So why is it that there is a thread on here with literally HUNDREDS of posts about the 32mb limit? Is Cox really so stupid as to do nothing about it and just flip the switch to make everyone's account handle Docsis 3? I just hooked up a friend with Docsis 3 and yep, he has the 32 mb limit, and he's gonna have to screw around calling you guys.

This is just nonsense and you should just make everyone's account be correct instead of putting them through the waste of time.

Ah, okay. I was under the impression that Ultimate was only 100 Mbps in every market prior to the increase.
