Online TV

COX TV Connect no longer works and I am directed to go www.cox.com/tv for this service. It says any account holder with COX Essentials or higher can watch some TV channels and OnDemand content from connected devices in their home. I have COX Advanced TV Preferred. All of my computers are Windows devices. The site tells me I need CONTOUR. That app is not available for Windows devices. Am I now required to purchase an Apple or Android device to use this service??????

The problem resolved (mysteriously) within a few hours of my original post.  Thanks to everyone who offered advice and remedies.

It doesn't look like Contour is working, at least on windows platforms.  I signed into my Cox account with my primary id, we are also Advanced TV subscribers.  After signing in:
- From "My Connection" / "Watch TV Online" it brought me to "Enjoy the New Watch TV Online Experience" screen.
- Clicked "Watch Now", it brought up a blue "Contour" screen then switched to a screen asking me to signon again "Sign In To Contour".
- Entered my primary id/password again, another blue "Contour" screen saying "Adding Device" followed by another screen telling me "Good News - Contour is available - call to order".
- Stuck in that loop - "Adding device" followed by "call to order"

Got the same result using firefox, chrome and edge on Windows 10.  Guess it doesn't work.

you do not need an app just click the link and sign in with your user name and password.

Using Win7 64bit on firefox.

Used the steps you listed for the first time since I had never used this service. All went smoothly for me, took me to the guide and I watched a couple of channels. Not impressed by video quality, even when selecting HD- it is using flash player- but it works.

Hi Everyone,

I have two Rovi DVRs. I went to www.cox.com/tv on my Window 8 laptop and logged in with my Primary Cox User ID. The Contour "app" loaded within Chrome, and I was able to begin playing live TV and change to different stations.

As I just posted the problem "went away" within a couple of hours of my original post.  I would have posted that but the forum was not accepting anything I tried to post for a day or so (also mysteriously resolved).  Thanks for your advice and assistance.
