All 3D movies in on demand show up in a split screen with the movie showing on both sides of the screen... any suggestions?

Are you attempting to watch the 3D content on a non-3D Ready TV? If so, what you describe is expected.
See About Cox 3D TV and look for the FAQ labeled What will I see if I tune to the Cox3D channel and don't have a 3DTV? There is a picture there as well that shows a sample of the double image.

The solution is to check your 3d settings on your 3D television.
My Sony Bravia has three settings, off, side by side, and over-under.
When I watch 3D movies on Cox, I have to manually set the 3D option to 'side by side'. The movie is then in 3d, but the progress bar is apparently misaligned... but the movie itself is fine.
