After I Sign In on the Cox home page, I noticed that in certain news articles in the Home, National News, Entertainment, Sports and More sections have a red box with a white triangle (arrow) included that seems to imply there is a video to view regarding this article. However, when I click on the arrow nothing happens. Is there a setting that I need to set up that I am missing to see these videos?

It sounds like there may be an issue with java loading properly and that's why you're not seeing the videos. Are you having this issue on any other websites? You could try releasing the java plug-in for the browser, are you familiar with how to do that?

Thank you Derrick for your response. No I am not having this issue with viewing videos on other websites. I am not familiar with how to release the java plug-in for the browser. I use Google Chrome as my browser. Please excuse my ignorance but I am not very tech savvy.

When I take a look from here the modem doesn't look like it's staying online. It might be beneficial to have a technician come out and make sure the Internet connection itself is working right.

Thanks ChrisL,
The modem is online now and I still can't view the videos. I know periodically (once every few months) the modem does go offline and I call Cox and walk thru the automated instructions to unplug the modem power and then replug and Cox resets the modem that seems to fix it. So, if the technician makes sure the internet connection is working right will that resolve the video issue? What about what Derrick said about releasing the java plug-in for the browser. Not sure how to do that but willing to try.

I'm not convinced that streaming video would be impacted by a Java issue. I've never seen this to be the case at least. If there is anything going on with the connection that would certainly impact performance. Also the level of service you're subscribed to isn't ideal for higher quality video streams which are starting to become more common.

Thanks ChrisL for your explanation. I'll call for a tech to check my connection.
