New Service Premier Package Really low upload speed

I have been having this problem since the beginning with really low upload speeds everyday at any time of day and night for the past 2 weeks in the range of <1 mbps. A tech was sent out to my address and checked my lines and replaced the outside line from the street into the house, but the problem persists. I just ran a speed check here at cox.net and the results were 42.15 mbps down and 0.84 mbps up. I've power cycled the modem several times, updated the drivers on my NIC and I still have this upload speed problem.

Can anyone tell me what's going on?

1. What are the signal levels of your modem? You can find them at your modems webpage 192.168.100.1. What is your modem's model number and I can give specifics.

2. Are those speedtest directly to that modem/device?

Try Pingtest.net

It may ask you to update, or just allow a java plug in. That is just the plugin that sends the pings for the test. Paste the in a reply. If the latency is good then I predict something on the PC is using bandwidth, or somehow restricting it. If latency is bad, then;

Windows Key + R > CMD > Tracert cox.net > Enter

Right click top of window > Edit  > Select All > Enter

Paste into a reply.

Hello TiffanyR,

I checked my connections and they all look okay to me. I also retightened the connections. I tried bypassing the 2-way splitter and still had the same upload problem. There was a brief time when I was getting over 3 mbps upstream but that went away and is back down to <2 mbps.

bezzay,

Looking at the modem history, everything looks good.  Also, the signal levels to the modem are good, but there was some slight packet loss to the modem.  That could be contributing to the issue that you are having with the speed fluctuating.  For that we would need to get a tech out to see what is causing the problem.

Well my upload speed is still abysmal. When I try to livestream on twitch I can barely stream at 300 kbps without dropping frames and losing connection. Not sure what else can be done.
