New mini-box change over to all-digital

I have recently added two mini-boxes and all works correctly except I get an error on channel 3 saying no signal.  This is WGN America on our cable.  When I called the tech said everything looked OK and he couldn't say why no signal.  He suggested to wait a few days to see if it would come on but no luck after 2 weeks.  I only have a few channels anyway since we just have the very basic cheapest service.  We also have Dish Network and wonder if this installation has anything to do with it.  We have never had a problem before with this setup.

Hi Paulie, try performing a channel scan on the TV set using the remote that came with the TV set, then unplug the power cord from the mini, wait two minutes, then plug the power cord back in to let the mini reset.

Does Cox and Dish share the same cable lines in your house? If so, that can be a problem. May not be the problem your having now, but it can be a problem none the less and the two loops should probably be separated.

Also, do you get the same error on both boxes?

Last, has the changes gone fully into effect in your area yet? Another words, do you have any TV's in your house that don't have a box and work? Do they get channel 3?

This is off topic, but it is good to see you Health Edge back on the forums. You have helped many people and your efforts are greatly appreciated.

I left after some no so nice moderation. Pure boredom brought me back. Happy to help but sometimes I get too wrapped up in it and need to take a break. Cheers
