New cox digital boxes

I was required to install nex boxes in order to receive digital programing for the TV's i had connnected to the cable directly rather then using the Digital DVr I am renting now. However I have lost access to several channels that i was receiving for free. Can anyone tell me what is going on? And what it is going to cost to get the channels I lost?

I'm not getting reception on my miniboxes and Cox won't answer any of their numbers. They stink.

Hi ctduransr,

The Mini Box channels are encrypted to receive TV Starter and Essential channels. Since the switch to All Digital, the Mini Boxes will receive the channels you're subscribed to. Cox TV Economy customers will receive TV Starter channels on the Mini box, and the Economy package on the main receiver.
