Netgear CG3000D Upload Speeds

I recently acquired the Netgear CG3000D from Cox.  I like having one device that combines the modem and router.  My download speeds are within the range indicated for the Premier service and often exceed it.  However, my upload speeds are only around 1.79Mbps.  If I can't have both, I prefer the good download speeds.  However, I was just wondering if anyone else experiences this issue with this modem.
