Need Help with Hauppauge DCR 2650 being used with Windows Media Center
I upgraded my external TV tuner for my computer with a Hauppauge DCR 2650 Dual Tuner Cable Card Receiver so that when Cox completes its transition from analog to all digital in the near future hear in Las Vegas that I can continue to use Windows Media Center. I attempted to install the new DCR 2650, Cisco Cable Card from COX and the Cisco STA1520 tuning adapter from Cox but I am not receiving most of my channels on the Cox Starter and Essential packages that I subscribe to. I receive the local channels the ones that COX carries that are sub channels (on OTA 8.3, 8,2 etc, but on COX package 127, 128) and the HD local CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX, and CW (although I am supposed to get these on channels 3, 8 etc and not 1003, 1008. On my TVs with mini boxes I received the channels on 3, 8 etc and not 1003, 1008 etc).
I have call cox four times and activated the Cable Card they say everything looks ok from their end, so I have a technician coming today, but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated - this is my first time trying to use a Cable Card.

Just a note I have the same tuner card and works OK with WMC and Windows 7. But unable to get all channels on Windows 10. 80% of my channels are marked DRM and will not play or record. Gave up on Cox trying to fix it. Good luck

Thanks for your post! I'm sorry this was such a frustrating experience. I'm glad to hear that you're now receiving all of your subscribed channels.
