How can I stop the phone ringing at all when 'do not disturb' is enabled. Or is there another way to silence the phone?

Depending on the phone options, you may be able to change the ring volume, or even set particular phones to mute through the handset settings menu.

Dustin - if I could mute the phones (plural), I wouldn't need the 'do not disturb'. Why does the cox system seem to allow one ring before it goes to voicemail. There should be no rings.

What phone do you have?

Why would it matter what phone they have? The "do not disturb" option is supposed to NOT RING THE PHONE AT ALL, just send the call to voicemail. Mine started doing this as well. Forwarding will ring the phone once, then forward, but now Do Not Disturb is also ringing the phone once. This all started a week or so ago about the same time Cox messed up the call logs, so there was some type of update that isn't working.

Because reasons? I was seeing if the phone has some kind of REN interruption detection (Fax detect?) that could be detecting a signal the eMTA is putting out. If you are saying you are also effected, then it is unlikely to be a phone issue, but could you not have offered that input without being critical?
