Multiple recordings cut off less than halfway through

This is an issue similar (if not identical) to http://forums.cox.com/forum_home/tv_forum/f/4/t/3640.aspx, and entirely different  from all of the questions posted about shows getting 1-2 minutes clipped at the end.

On two occasions in the last week, and at least one prior to that, I've had shows with NO conflicts stop recording after 15-20 minutes (for hour-long programs). This is on different days, times, and multiple channels (FX and BBC America).
I can't help but suspect that this is going to be blamed on the fact that I haven't upgraded to Contour service (at additional cost, of course). Anyone else having similar problems?

Hi amatuer6, please post the model of DVR that you are currently using. Also, please indicate if you have attempted any troubleshooting steps: has the DVR been reset, have you contacted technical support for assistance (if so, what steps where taken), 
is this happening on any other DVR's in the home?
