Modem shutdown and reboots periodically in Arizona

Problem: Modem restarts every 40 minutes or so, losing internet connection periodically.  This is a SB5101 modem.  Any potential fixes?

It looks like from the modem logs that the modem is changing channels in order to try and keep up with speed demand.  Because the modem is not a DOCSIS 3.0 modem it has to reboot to do this.  You'd probably benefit from a DOCSIS 3.0 modem upgrade as how it would you maintain more consistent speeds as well not having to reboot to change channels.
