Modem Model dsa301u
Why is this modem showing up on my account when I own my own modem? This modem was returned 2 months ago.
That is probably what is screwing up my internet. Let's get this issue resolved today.

A extra modem on your account isn't going to mess anything up. I have about 12 modems on my account because I buy and test every modem that comes out :-) As long as the modem your using is the one that is "provisioned" or assigned internet service (which It has to be if your online) having other modems on your account is just for inventory tracking reasons.
Its actually helpful because if one breaks they can swap it to a old one without you having to reread all the codes and numbers on the back.
Now if you notice your being CHARGED for that modem, thats a different story and you should call Cox and ask for a equipment research form to be sent. Still won't effect anything technically, but no one likes to be charged for something they don't have.
