Oh c'mon, Chris. In each market, Cox re-transmits several dozen audio only channels and radio stations. KLOS-FM out of LA is on the OP's channel 953.

There is only sound coming from one side. Now not to be confused  with the sound only coming through one speaker. On channel 953 there is only the left channel playing.  There is maybe a 1-2% bleed-through into the right channel. For instance often times you only hear backup vocals and not the main singer. It is a new install in October and since then the cable card has been replaced several times.  All other channels to my knowledge are in stereo.  The channels are listed under Advanced TV / Cable Radio  Net 949-969 FM Music Stations on cl_palosverdes.pdf. I also tried another monitor and external speakers. Reversing the connection had no effect. 

So, is there anyone even looking at this problem?

Well it isn't just me nor is it just one channel. It is all the rebroadcast channels and also confirmed with one of my neighbors.
