It's NOT Spam!

How do I turn off the spam filters?  I download my mail into Thunderbird, which has it own set of user defined filters.  I don't want my mail filtered by the Cox mail system. I will decide what is spam and what isn't.

I am getting legitimate mail tagged as SPAM in inbox.  This tag then shows up if I reply or forward the mail, and it's embarrassing.

The spam filters cannot be disabled at this time.  Having the subject tagged as spam and delivered is currently the lowest setting.  Messages that come in this way can be forwarded as attachments to thisisnotspam@cox.net to request that the filters allow them through in the future.  If it's just a small set of addresses that are getting tagged as spam you can also log in to webmail and add those addresses to the allowed senders list.

Thank you for your response.   I don't see anywhere in webmail to add address to an allowed list.   If this is in Enhanced Webmail, I am unable to log in, it just sits there and won't move past the sign in screen.  I can log into basic webmail, but I don't see this option anywhere.

In Classic you'll need to click Settings -> Allow and Block senders.

Hey jedigramma,

Thunderbird lets you edit the SUBJECT line on replies and forwards. Simply edit out the - SPAM - notation.
