How do you hook up the mini box and Internet when the modem connects to the wall coaxial cable along with the tv? What is the ideal connection to ensure the internet strength...should the order be cable outlet, mini box, modem, then tv or cable outlet, modem, mini box, then tv?
I couldn't find any tutorials, so if there is one please provide a link.
I appreciate any advice. Thanks!

When I had TV and Internet the tech ran the cable into my living room and then installed a splitter there. Like this below.

You may want to call Cox after and ask them to check the signal levels of your modem after. If your signal was kind of low to begin with, splitting it "can" cause problems. If needed, they might be able to provide a splitter that gives more signal to the modem then the mini box, because the modem needs more. You will probably be OK just hooking it up, but if you have problems, FYI.

Did your mini box self-install kit include a splitter? See http://bit.ly/splitt3r for an example of what a splitter looks like.

No, the kit didn't have a splitter. I read and watched the video on cox site, but never saw anything about multi devices hooked up. I did this before attempting to set anything up. I completely forgot about the splitter, because it's out of site. The splitter was connected to the cable and Internet. I just completed the setup this morning and it was successful.
Thanks for the reply!

Jasonb,
Thanks! This helped. I had a successful setup this morning.
I was reviewing how to set up before pulling anything apart and completely forgot about the splitter. Everything I read was talking about direct wall hook up.
