A box keeps popping up in Outlook asking me to verify server, user name and password. Can't stop this no matter how I respond.

Do you enter your username and password? Also, try checking it on webmail.cox.net
Something else to check is if you may have more then one account. Maybe THAT account is asking for a password. See here to get into your Outlook Account Settings. If you have more then one profile there, then you have Outlook set up for more then one email.

I have the same problem sporadically. I called Cox support and they say they don't support Outlook for accessing their e-mail. However, this is a Cox problem. On my PC I get the same box you do. If I try to access my e-mail from my phone (which doesn't use Outlook) I get an error message saying that it can't log in. If I wait some period of time the problem goes away and then I can access e-mail from Outlook and from my cell phone.
