In order to get bonus pak, is any other pak sufficient?

Back in May, I attempted to lower my increasing bill by giving up a couple paks.

I wanted the Bonus pak specifically.  In order to get this, I thought I only needed to get another pak.

I requested to keep the Movie Pak (it was $8/mo instead of the $10 each that the other two were), thereby getting the bonus pak.  Right?

What I got:

"I was not able to remove the Sports and Information Pak and Variety Pak, because  these two service is not from the same package, I was only able to remove Sports and Information Pak with Movie Pak"

which left me with Variety Pak and Bonus Pak.  Having Bonus Pak--good.  Having Variety Pak--ok, I guess, but not what I asked for.

Can someone explain what this means?  Why couldn't I just get Movie Pak and Bonus Pak?
