Improvements needed to the Channel Guide

Let me start off by saying that I was a loyal Uverse customer for 6 years. We recently moved and Cox was the only available option. I love the fact that you can record 6 shows at once and the speed of the internet. 

The issue i have is with the guide, it needs some major TLC:

1. When you are flipping through the guide and the time changes from 10 to 10:30, the guide should automatically adjust
2. If I am scrolling through the guide, I am obviously looking for a new show, why is the preview window showing me what I was watching? I understand that it might be a commercial, so maybe change it so the audio is of the show and the preview window is the channel you are scrolling through.
3. 1/2 the time there is no information about the show
4. The On Demand portion is not consistent at all. 
   1. Sometimes the stations are broken out by HD (HBO, HBO HD), sometimes they are combined.
   2. The movies are in all different orders, why can't they be in alphabetical order?
5. When you are watching something record or on demand and hit last channel, it takes you to the last regular channel you were watching. If you hit last channel again, it takes you to the previous channel you were watching, NOT the recorded or OnDemand. The last channel button should allow you to flip between something record and something live.
6. When you pause live TV and then want to fast forward, 1/2 the time it won't let you fast forward, so you are forced to watch all the commercials. Why is this?
7. Recording a show, why do I have to go through 3 screens to record a show, it should be a simple hit the record button, window pops up to record episode or series (yes if you record series you should get another screen for options) and then click select to confirm. Instead I'm taken to another screen where it is telling me to hit the tiny button C to confirm. Yes you can hit select, but it isn't exactly intuitive.

Then there is the remote, I am a technically savvy person and can work a remove pretty *** well, but this one is beyond ridiculous:

1. There are too many buttons. A,B,C,D, why can't there just be a menu button and then you use the navigation buttons to select what you want to use.
2. With this many buttons, you actually have to hit the button to activate the lights on the remote to see what you are doing, how about have an option where the lights will always show up?
3. When I look at the remote, there are at least 10 buttons that can be removed.
4. The remote also needs a 30 second jump forward option instead of the 30 second jump back. It is much more likely that you will fast forward than rewind 30 seconds.
