How do I add & subtract channels from minibox?
I have a sight impaired mother who could use standard cable up to last week on a TV that allowed me to add and subtract channels (you could still tune to the channel if you typed in the numbers). This let her cycle through the 6 channels she uses on the TV remote. It was very simple for her to know what channel she was on. She lost 5 of the 6 channels this week due to the digital switch. I picked up a minibox and surprisingly you cannot add or subtract channels (parental lock does not stop user from scrolling through channels). She now has no idea what channel she is on and is very frustrated. That add & subtract TV feature was a very important feature for her. Now I have a confused mother who cannot tell where her channels are. Anybody have any suggestions on a solution?

I can only imagine how frustrating this must be for your mother, and I truly apologize. The mini box was designed with minimal features in order to keep the cost as low as possible for our customers. If being able to set a personalized channel list is very important, you might want to check out our Contour and Contour 2 products. Both Contour and Contour 2 have the ability to set a personalized channel list in the Guide. Alternatively, our Solution Stores offer a big button remote that works with the mini box. It might be easier for your mom to see the buttons and work this remote; however, it will not provide the a personalized channel list feature that you're looking for. If you'd like to try the big button remote, bring the mini box remote into the Cox Solution Store most convenient for you and we will swap it for a big button remote.
