HD CHANNELS NOT WORKING

For over a week all of the channels between 1100 and 1200 have shown an error code of 3112. I called tech service and

they said that it would be fixed by Wednesday night but it was not. Now other random channels are out.

That type of error code typically indicates a signal issue. Are there any splitters in this room that can be temporarily bypassed to see if anything improves or is it a direct connection from the cable outlet to the cable box?
