Firmware upgrade for DPC3010

Ok, this is getting ridiculous... talked to 3 people in internet support over the last couple days trying to get my firmware updated on my DPC3010. I bought the thing because an on-site tech recommended it and told me to make sure the firmware gets updated if I did get one. First call just got my modem reset. Second call the guy actually seemed to know what the deal was but never actually sent the update. The third guy took the cake, told me to go to Cisco's web site and download the latest and upgrade it. wow... I bought the modem from Cox a couple days ago and it has firmware v091119a, and the latest supported by Cox is v110156a if my research is correct. Can anybody help? Jesse

It appears your account is setup using an out of date service code for non-3.0 modems.  Our account services team needs to remove the existing Premier service code and replace it with the DOCSIS 3.0 code.

Firmware sent, is there any particular issue you're experiencing?

Thank you! Well, this whole trek started with trying to get the new Premier speeds. I'm still only seeing 32mbps, can you help me on that one too?

Chris how would a customer check if they have the correct code for a D3 modem, but use a Premiere service code/

It's on your account so it would require a phone call.  I don't believe your market is using the different codes yet.  This was done in markets where Premier HSI speeds were increased to levels above what DOCSIS 2.0 can handle.

After spending more time on hold I got through to somebody who figured it out and got the code changed. I'm now running at 65/28! Very nice, thanks to ChrisL! http://www.speedtest.net/result/2491477594.png

Greetings ChrisL:

I need the obsolete firmware updated on my new DPC3010 cable modem.   Customer Service didn't know how to do that.    Can you please perform the update?

Cheers!

I also had this problem but it fixed itself. For my friend who lived near by at the same time too. I have a feeling the problem will be fixed everywhere soon.
