Finding IP Address for D Link DAP 1650 setup as Access Point

Connected a DAP 1650 to the cisco modem provided by Cox. Set it up with a new ssid as an access point. Internet is working on computer that I used to set up the DAP 1650, but not on any other wireless device, and I cannot find the IP address to get back into the DAP setup page. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the replies...turns out my problem was that the box that Cox sent, which the sales rep and tech who installed both told me was a modem/router, was just a modem. New router solved my problems, access point is now working as an extender so we've got wifi throughout the house.

If you have a smartphone or tablet, use a network scanner app like Fing.  It will scan your entire LAN and report all active IP addresses it finds.  Fing is free and available on iOS & Android.

Hi littlewave, here is a link to the support site for the DAP: http://bit.ly/1IE20WS  You may have to install the manufacturers software to manage the device.

What manufacturers software?  The link you provided is to firmware and manuals, not other software.  Also the quick start guide doesn't refer to anything other than a web interface.  Can you explain?

Hi AllenP, that link is to provide littlewave with contact for the product he needs information on from the tech support website the manufacturer provides for their customers. The note that he "may" need additional software is just that... a note. Note a directive.
