Faster forum trick.
Ran across this trick while trying to debug why this forum will just stop working randomly. Pressing escape, waiting 5 seconds, and then reloading is work around, but annoying and slow. Seems its caused by the javascript that runs the drop downs along the top of the page. Who ever integrated into the main UI for this page was....sloppy. Fix is to use Adblock and apply the following hiding filter

Or you can just use the "Block this Ad" feature and click on the drop downs. Not only does it fix that problem, but the forum is much more responsive. Should work with adblocker of your choice on browser of your choice, as long as it allows custom scripts. If anyone has a more elegant solution that still allows for the header, please post.

I was wondering what the *** was going on with the forum freezing up about an hour ago. I was worried if it was only me with the issue. Next time it happens, it'll be time to test out your trick, this until they fix the issue. Thanks.

Its a work in progress, because it still does it sometimes, I just find it does it less, and less severe by blocking the drop down menus along the top of the page. Hoping someone that knows .js better then me sees the thread and can give a better suggestion.
