A few things I'd check. Are you using IMAP protocol to access your email? Are you accessing your email from multiple devices? Is it all emails being deleted or just specific ones you're deleting from other devices?

Yes on the IMAP, and Yes on other devices, Mac, 2 ipad, and a Windows machine.

By design, IMAP synchronizes content between all devices. If you delete an email on your phone for example it is removed from the server so that it is also deleted on other devices. None of your devices actually have your emails on them in this configuration so there is no benefit to deleting emails unless you simply do not want that particular email anymore.

I am finding that if i delete an email from my Mac, it also deletes it from my ipad and in cox mail it moves it to deleted messages. Can I stop this. Some emails I want to keep on one computer and not another...

If you want to keep emails, don't delete them. Instead move them to a folder. If your using IMAP, what ever you do on one device, it does that to all devices.
