After completing the Cox Communications Survey I opted for the E-Cigarette Starter Kit trial offer for $3.95. Within two weeks they charged my credit card for $99.99 as they stated that was per their agreement. I had specifically informed this company via phone as their e-mail stated that I did not want any additional product 10 days prior to the charge. Fortunately I kept notes but I have had to cancel that credit card and after talking again to their Customer Service Department, they are not refunding $50.00 of the $99.99 charge. Has any one else had similar problems with this company (http://ecigsbrand.com/)? They have clearly violated the EFT Act and I am sure I am not the only victim. As a Cox Communications supported/recommended vendor, I expected much more.

Sounds to me like this "Cox Survey" was fake and really had absolutely nothing to do with Cox. It probably even said it at the bottom of the page "we are not supported or affiliated with Cox yada yada yada". Not entirely sure how this is Cox's fault though, you should probably start using Adblock Plus on your browser so you don't see that ** to begin with. That, and maybe read all of the fine print next time.

Did your survey look anything like this one? Notice it says at the bottom they are not affiliated with, or endorsed by Cox. You can click the picture to enlarge it if you can't read the text at the bottom.

Yes, that is exactly what it looked like. An expensive lesson for me.

Sad to see people being preyed on with these fake offers or the "You have a virus, click here to remove it" scams, but I would definitely check out Adblock if you haven't already.
