DVR issues, not much to change. Where is blue tooth ? Where are networking settings? Very unhappy so far.

I am very shocked.!!!!

I have been a Dish Subscriber now for many years.  Although they have their own problems and issues, I can not believe the difference in technology from Dish ( Hopper / Joey ) and the Contour DVR Cisco box.  The Cox DVR box settings are a JOKE.

It is like they were designed for a child to use, compared to the menu settings of the Hopper.  Also, the Cox DVR has basically NO high tech offerings or features that the Dish Hopper had.  I mean With the Hopper there were at least 20 sub menu's you could change things with.... on this Cox box I can basically tell it only I have a Hi-Def TV in 1080i and a surround system.   Were are all the other options / tweaks that I had on Hooper ?   For instance.... COX HAS NO BLUETOOTH CAPABILITY !!!!!!!!  What the heck is that about.  Hopper has had Blue Tooth for a year.

Also, what if I want stream my home PC Video's from my home network to the COX Box, via live streaming apps like PLEX, or Multi-Browser, or PLay-On ????  This stupid Cox box only see's itself and it's partner box in the other room !!!

I dont get it.    At the very least why NO BLUETOOTH ??????  and why no streaming from other in home servers on the same network ??????  Oh and why no 30 second fast forward button on the remote ??   ........sigh

OR am I missing some secret menu somewhere ???

When I go into the main config (hold power button / push again)  I see part of my network but no way to access via the menu/settings in the user settings area (server).    I dont know .....

See PHOTO BELLOW ........

Very disappointed.

So why did you leave Dish Network?  Sounds like you should go back.

No argument that Contour missing some features, even functions available on Cox's other platform, Passport.  The 30 sec FF is one, notifying you of series recording conflicts is another.  It is absurd that the box just ignores recording if no tuner is available without notifying the user.

Personally, not having Bluetooth or streaming solutions is no big deal to me.  I have other devices connected to my home theater so I don't need to duplicate those functions with the DVR.  Also, I assume you have a Roku device connected, not a Ruko.  Can't that handle your streaming needs?
