DVR Help
Does anyone out here know if I can use my Magnavox DVR with the new COX cable digital service. I have a Magnavox DVR combo with a disc player. I would prefer to use it as it is fairly new (2 years old), and the DRV's COX offers does not have the disc player.

Yes but with some limitations. The coax output of the minibox is SD analog, you are limited to that even if the DVR has a digital tuner. Also, and most important, you must change channels with the minibox, the DVR tuner must be kept set to the same channel as the switch on the back of the minibox (3 or 4). This eliminates the ability to program future recordings on channels other than the one the minibox is tuned to. HTH
