DPC3010 slow speeds, firmware outdated? Account issue?

Hello,

I recently updated my modem from an old DOCSIS 2 surfboard to a new DOCSIS 3 Cisco DPC3010. I am on the Premier 50 mbps plan, but do not seem to get more than about ~20-25 mbps out of it (no faster than the old surfboard!).

I noticed the firmware is from 2009, and was wondering if there is a newer firmware available. If so, could one of the forum's technicians push the newer firmware to my modem?

Also, since I was using a DOCSIS 2 modem until a few days ago, is it possible that my account is still provisioned to a lower speed? I read somewhere on these forums that there are two different billing codes that are in use for the premier plan (one for DOCSIS 2 modems and one for DOCSIS 3) and that it can adversely affect the speed if the wrong billing code is used.
