Download Speed With Premier Package

I have a question I noticed that it did not mention the download speed in the description so I was wondering how much MegaBYTES per second download speed I should be getting because I am trying to stream with DirectTV but I was getting slow connection so I need to find out if it's because of my modem, router, or the download speed itself.

Your exact speed depends on where you are and the equipment you have. See here for speeds in your area, and see here for modems and their suggested service tiers.

In general, you should be getting 100Mbps wired to the modem. What you get after that depends on your network. How are you streaming DirectTV; Phone App? PC? DirectTV device? Also, how was it detecting a slow connection; Some test? Error on screen?

Cox info reports the download speed: Preferred is 50mbps. Premier at 150mbps. Ultimate is 300mbps.

Depends on your area. In RI where I am, Premier is 100. Thats why I said atleast 100.

He asked for "MegaBYTES" per second, not Mbps.

And? I gave the unit Cox uses to classify speeds. I didn't think they needed the calculation from Mb to MB, but if so, see here.

Seems to me your just salty your thread is going no where.

You didn't give the unit of speed he/she explicitly asked for.
