I am presently on vacation and not in a Cox service area. I have tried to log on to my webmail through cox.net instead of my usual Outlook, but it won't let me do it. Do I need to be in a Cox servie area to log on and see emails? I can log onto my account, but not webmail.

You don't have to be in a Cox service area to access webmail however some non-Cox locations such as hotels for example can get temporarily blocked due to frequent spamming problems and the transient nature of guests. Are you getting any kind of error message when you try to log in?

It takes me back to the log in page without logging in. I know my password is correct. I just had someone hack my account so I had to report it and change passwords. Could I be locked out? I tried calling the help line but I was on hold for a long time before I hung up.

If it just goes back to the login page that sounds to me like the browser isn't handling cookies properly. I would suggest resetting all browser settings back to default and clearing cookies/cache and try again.
