DNS resolution fails and connection drops every 10 minutes

Seriously, this is a pain. I had a tech out to troubleshoot errors, and they removed a splitter. He told me I should upgrade my Motorola Surfboard, to their WIFI ARRIS router. 

I went to the local store and rented one and came home, installed it.

I have a 300/30 Ultimate account, and it is worthless now. EVERY 10 minutes the router drops the connection and I get DNS resolution failed. I cannot complete anything.

This did not happen with my Motorola, it never dropped the connection. 

I've tried different resolvers to no avail. 

I've seen this issue reported for a couple years now off and on, still with no solution. 

I need this fixed, uploads timeout, downloads and games need reconnection....
