I get an error after the transfer saying "could not contact server [801]" I have contacted Quicken about the problem. Backup copies the file and then gives me the message. It is only active QDF files that are affected. This is recent. If I create a copy of the file, it backs up.

This is certainly unusual. What is the file extension of the file that causes the error? Does the copy have the same file extension? For example:
Quicken_patti.QDF
Copy of Quicken_patti.QDF
Cox Secure Online Backup is now called Cox Cloud Drive. The Cloud Drive Support Team should be able to assist you with this issue. They can be reached at 1-800-923-7580.

Is Quicken open when you try to backup the file? If so, the QDF file is in use and that could cause an error. Anyway, I use Quicken to create a backup file before ending any session, QDF-backup extension, then back that up to the cloud.
