I am on Windows 7 home premium up to date
thought I had the Cox online back up working but the program on my computer would not load
deleted it from my computer and did a re install
as part of the install process I got a popup asking for my user name and password.
I put in all I had but all were rejected as not being correct.
my question is how do I find out my user name and pass word for this account as I want to start using the on line backup.
appreciate any help

You can try signing in to your account at http://www.cox.com. Under Internet Tools there's an option to view additional users, one should be listed as the primary.

I had a similar problem. I was "active" when logged into my account, but when I tried to log in my user name and password directly from my computer to the site, the user name and password weren't "valid".
Info says this backup service is run by a third party. Have my doubts this third party is keeping up with things, since this seems to be happening to more than one of us.
If the backup service login is not working correctly, I am skeptical about even using it. Personally, am going to look into a reliable service besides this one. CNET has good reviews on stuff, will try that.
Good luck.
