Sorry if this a duplicate, but I don't see my original post on this.
Does anyone else find this commercial to be intensely annoying, or is it just me? It really grates on my nerves.

Cox encourages all feedback, both negative and positive, so I thank you for taking the time to post. We truly intend only humor with our commercials, but I think we all interpret things differently. For example, I know that a commercial I enjoy actually irks my best friend. I have forwarded your comments to our marketing team so your voice will be heard.

It is humorous on the first pass, but the joke gets old and annoying quickly. The Gigablast and Gig Life commercials are just as annoying, too. I guess I just miss Paul and his mom, and next door neighbor Randy.

It's a marketing ploy. Commercials are produced to get your attention and to promote a brand. To get your attention, marketers will make commercials corny, kitschy, tacky...or annoying. The commercials are so stupid, they're like a car crash: you can't look away. Yes, Cool Mom is stupid, but you remembered it.
Too bad Cox didn't put as much effort into their actual services.

I, on the contrary, love this commercial. I don't usually sit through many commercials but, I do on this one. In fact, a little disappointed when it's been cut. I've been searching for it online to show others, that I think would get a kick out of it. In fact, I was doing just that, when I came across this forum. Can anyone here tell me how I can find the video? I've tried looking on youTube but, can't find it. I may not be using the correct search phrase.

At this time, I haven't found this commercial available outside of the one broadcast over the network.

That fact that this thread exist shows that the commercial worked. I don't like the constant "Fastest Wifi" claims both Cox and FIOS try to pull. The wifi speed has nothing to do with the ISP, only the network equipiment you buy/rent.

I think commercials like those are aimed at people who believe that wifi is the internet, the people who have no clue what hardwired even means, or how to configure their own equipment.

I agree, vehemently! Cox seems to have a habit of using extremely irritating, annoying characters to promote its products and services; Paul, his mother, the "cool mom". This makes me want to do less business with Cox instead of more. I keep the remote immediately at hand so I can change the channel the instant I hear "what 's up my peeps?" It's pathetic, really... so sad that this middle aged woman is trying to hang on to her 'Glory Years' by infiltrating a group of teenagers. It's no wonder that her offspring isn't identified--he, or she, is probably hanging out somewhere else in the neighborhood to escape being embarrassed by the needy, grasping mother. This is just 'WRONG' on multiple levels: in real life she ends up having sex with one or more of the boys caught up in her fantasies of staying young forever.

Here is another shining example of the ** Cox media puts out. CTS... the one good thing they had and they outsourced the name to Plumchoice. As someone who used to work for CTS, I HATED this commercial.

I agree, Cox commercials target morons. Look! Giggling kids and stupid white people! I'm subscribing to Cox!
The beef jerky commercials were the best. Sasquatch crushing hipster tricksters against trees. Nice. I think they've since tamed down the commercials.
