Contour: Video Output Format (Zoom?) and Guide Views (Grid view for Favorites?)

I made the switch to Contour a couple weeks back. My experience has been very good but I do have two issues I find that aren’t offered in the Contour package that I like very much in the older setup. I was just wondering if Cox happens to have any plans for changes in these two areas:

a)Video Output Format: When viewing non HD channels if you wish to fill your screen you need to use the “stretch” settings which completely distorts everything and doesn’t actually fill the entire screen.

-In the older version (Motorola) you also had the option to “Zoom” addition to “Stretch” to fill the screen. Zooming did not distort the picture but actually filled the entire screen by amplifying it (not stretching it).

Does Cox have any plans for Contour to offer Zoom ability in the future?

b)For the Guide views. In the older version Motorola, you could set it up to view your “favorite channels” using the grid format but you can’t do that with Contour, your favorites are displayed in a “list” view.

Any plans for Cox to offer in Contour the ability to use Grid View to view your Favorite channels?

Thanks.

A. I informed Cox of the missing "ZOOM" option with Contour over a year ago. Three updates later it's still missing. Send an email to cox.help@cox.com requesting the "ZOOM" function.

B. You can make the grid show ONLY favorites by doing the following. (1) Create a user call FAV (or similar.) (2) Change to that user, then go to CHANNELS -> SET SKIPPED CHANNELS. (3) Mark all of the channels as "Skipped Channels" except for your favorites. From then on, whenever user FAV is selected, only the favorites will appear in the grid. When the user is the default "Valued Customer" ALL channels will be in the grid.

Thanks for the information, Domino.

I will send an email to Cox (cox.help@cox.com) about the Zoom option. Seems silly they cut that option out and also annoying.

I had a feeling you could setup a user and go through the skipped channel thing but again it seems so simple for Cox to have offered a option on how you want to view your favorites.

Thanks again for your help.
