Contour stand-alone won't pause/rewind live TV
We had Contour installed about six weeks ago and today it suddenly won't reweind live TV. Also if I pause live TV the box starts playing again after about two seconds. All the articles I have seen about this problem are for multiple client machines but I only have the one device. I am going to power cycle it but am curious if there are any known software issues that might cause this.

There is no known software issue that causes that problem. Please let us know if power cycling the cable box works or not.

No wonder you're frustrated; you shouldn't have to reboot your receivers multiple times a day! I'm so sorry that you've been experiencing issues with your Contour equipment. Power cycling the box resolved the pause/rewind live TV issue for me. If the problem happens in the future I will have to re-evaluate my purchase of the Contour package since this is a basic function that should never fail (and I have numerous isdues with the poor user interface design).

Mine is doing the same thing as of today. These boxes were just installed 2 days ago. The mini won't pause or rewind and it gives the error Cox Contour is having problems. Glad it's there to tell me that.

Oh yeah, Both the DVR 6 and the mini were ireplaced 2 days ago. They were originally installed 2 days before that.

Are you getting a reference number following the technical trouble on the Client receiver? I see you've reset the receiver in the past to have it return. I'd recommend reset the host by unplugging the power for 20 seconds, wait for the load to complete on the host, and repeat the step to the client receiver that shows the technical difficulties message. Allow the client receiver to load and connect to the network, and attempt your playback again. If this happens again please reach out to us again.
