Contour: Boxes reboot, messing with settings
It seems that fairly frequently the cable boxes (8742HDC, 4742HDC) get restarted. The evidence is that the USER is the default user rather than the one that I had set it to. That is only a minor annoyance, it would be nice if it returned it to the user that it was on when the restart began, but I can live with it. The real annoyance concerns one of the audio settings. I want Digital Output set to "Dolby Digital (AC3)" but it resets it to "Pulse Code Modulation" each time. This is a bug that needs to be fixed.

This is a problem, it should not be resetting my settings. Aren't you supposed to respond and tell me that you have forwarded this information to the software team?

I apologize for the delayed response. Does the audio setting reset on both receivers or just one?

I don't have anything connected to Digital Output on the 4742HDC so I have never adjusted the setting. I will do so now and let you know what happens the next time the box gets restarted. I know that the USER gets reset each time though. Both the USER and the digital output setting get reset consistently on the 8742HDC after a restart.
