Cisco Explorer 4742HDC High Definition Receiver 1394 output
Back view web page indicates this output is active. Is this the case? If so, how is it enabled? I connected box to device with DVI input and it was not recognized.

I don't know if it is active or not but 1394 if firewire not DVI. How did you connect a firewire output port to a DVI input? What are you trying to accomplish?

Sorry, meant to say DV. I have a DVD-recorder with a DV(1394) input.
