Cisco DPC3010 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem COX firmware upgrade.

Cox Support:

Months ago some AWESOME tech support rep upgraded my modem firmware when I requested it on this forum.  I'd like to make that request again now.  I just updated my service from Premier to Ultimate and I'd like to make sure I have the most updated hardware to take advantage of the increased speed.  Please push a firmware update to my modem if one is available.  Thanks very much for your help!

Update: My current router is a Linksys WRT54G so I think that's part of my problem.  I want to upgrade to this one, what do you think:

ASUS RT-N66U Dual-Band Wireless-N900 Gigabit Router

If this cannot support 150mbps or if there is a better alternative can you recommend please.

Thanks!

It looks like the modem is already running the most up to date code.  As for routers the G routers are definitely end of life.  You'll want a router that can at least support 150Mbps and ideally with room to grow as speeds increase in the future.  Perhaps other members of the forums here can give you more feedback on routers.

Thanks very much for checking my modem firmware.  I upgraded to an ASUS RT-N66U and that solved my speed issue.  I'm getting 176 Mbps now.
