Checking VM from another phone not in your home.

The simplest way is to call your home phone, then interrupt your voicemail message by pressing  *  as in the asterisk key. You will then be prompted for your Voicemail PIN and can gain access to your messages normally.

If your line is forwarded, or you can't call your home phone for what ever reason, then you would need to first call the local access line. See this link here for a list. Then enter in your phone number and you will be prompted for your Voicemail PIN, after which press # or pound key.
