Change My Cox IP Address?
Hi,
Is it possible to change my Cox IP address? My router tells me there's a lot of traffic between my network and Poland. I deleted that IP address from my DHP leases and I have put Poland on the exclusion list. I am wondering if an additional safeguard is to change my Cox IP address and hopefully lose this connection. I am currently doing virus scans on all my home PCs.
Thanks...

Does it mention if its inbound or outbound. If outbound, changing your IP wont matter any because the outbound traffic (from something on your network) will just update it.
If its inbound traffic, you can change the MAC address of your router's WAN interface, then reboot modem, then router. That should make Cox see the router as a new device and give it a new IP. It can also be forced at the ISP level, but this is a bit more complicated, can cause some issues, and no everyone know how to do it.

So is it still doing it after you excluded them? If it is it's probly outgoing and you are probably already compromised.
Try MalwareBytes if you don't already have it.
