I recently switched from Contour to a TiVo Roamio with Cox CableCard. I also have the SDV Tuning Adapter. I receive all my channels, but I am frequently running into issues where the video will start to pixelate and the audio breaks up. That is usually followed up by the channel dropping and the "Searching for a signal on this channel (V52)" error. This happens randomly, but frequently (at least once per day). Sometimes if I flip around to other channels then flip back to the problem channel, it will come back. Other times it will go out for a long time. Restarting the TiVo box doesn't seem to help. If I perform a re-pairing of the card and box while on the phone with tech support, as I have done a few times now, the problem will be temporarily fixed but will resurface a day later.
When I first got the CableCard and tuning adapter, it took me a few calls with Cox Tech Support to send a firmware update to the tuning adapter and a few hits to my line before I was able to get all my channels. Now I receive them all but get these pixelation and dropped channels issue.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions other than calling tech support (again)? I'm starting to get really frustrated at the lack of reliability from the channels that I pay for. The signal strength is always coming in at 99%-100% so I dont think it's a signal issue. Could I just have a bad CableCard?

Is the Roamio 4 or 6 Tuners?
What City are you located in? Looks like Rhode Island, which is Motorola.
From TiVo box Diagnostics, If all your signals are 99-100% your signal may be too strong. TiVos do not like a 100% signal, they work best between 85% - 95%
Are you using a 2-way splitter before the Tuning Adapter? If not try that to reduce the signal slightly.

Thanks for the quick response. I have a 6-tuner Roamio Plus. I do have a motorola CableCard, based near Providence, RI.
Last year a tech installed a signal amplifier when I was having issues with Contour, so I will try to remove that to see if the signal strength drops a big.
I have a 4-way splitter at the source that goes into each room. Then a 2-way splitter in the room with the TA and Roamio... one leg going to each, with the USB connected the TA and Roamio together.
I'll keep you posted once I try these changes.
