cable card questions
Just returned to cox after a couple of years and wondering about cable cards. What boxes are compataible beyond the cox supplied ones. I have one cox one but want to put another box in the bedroom but dont wanna use a cox box thinking the samsung media cable box but any others I can use ? I know no two way communication but it will be in the bed room so not worried about it.

so do you have to have a professional install or can you just go to a store pick up a card and bring it home?

You can order a CableCARD self-install kit from Cox. It includes the CableCARD and instructions for installing it yourself. Take a look at the instruction sheet to determine if self-installation is for you. Or you can request one of our technicians to install it for you.
