Block Calls
Can I block a call free or is there a charge? Have an annoying computer generated call. Area code not mine. Have the complete number but show Unavailable.

To block a specific number you need selective call rejection. It isn't a free service, but may come with your phone package depending on which you have. Best bet is to call Cox Sale's department and ask.

Cox's current "selective call rejection" (there is a fee) won't work for those Unavailable calls.
One Cox forum moderator says there is a new service that costs 99 cents a month which will block Anonymous calls. He did not say if that blocked the ones that say "Unknown" or "Unavailable" altho those both seem pretty anonymous.
The answer to your question is that there is a charge to block that annoying computer-generated call.

*60 but I am having issues with it right now,. good luck. also *77 will turn on unknown caller block

To clarify, *77 is Anonymous Call rejection and blocks callers who hide their caller ID information, but won't block callers who are not broadcasting caller ID information. Typically when a call comes through displaying "Unknown" or "Unavailable" it's because they are not broadcasting information. Because of this the calls can be difficult to block no matter your phone provider.
