We have been experiencing Bad digital dropout for almost 3 months now on some of our HD channels (Hallmark for one) no one at COX seams to be-able give us an answer or show any concern to the fact we are having issues at all.
What is Digital Dropout ... when your video stutters, has parts of the image frozen for seconds at a time, you see scan-lines form more than one image and in general cant see the show you wanting (and PAYING very good money) to see.

Do you experience this issue with all TVs in your home? I would also suggest checking all the connections at the box to ensure they're still hand tight and disconnecting power to the box for two minutes and reconnecting to reset everything and see if that help.

We only have 1 TV on a digital box..
most of this happens on Hallmark Channel although i have seen it briefly on others channels from time to time.

That was the same "it is not us, it is You" advice they gave me. I hope it helps you, it did nothing for me.
I moved across town about 6 months ago Im paying more for my service and the quality took a total dive..
My internet is slower , my digital cable sometime is un-watchable, my home phone drops out sometimes and won't even ring in for hours on end.
It took them over 2 weeks to come fix one of their cables that had fallen across the street and was blocking my drive.. (So finally I started just running over it)
Believe me if there was a real option for me to go someplace else for service I would.. But they know there is no real competition so they really do give a hoot...
GOOD LUCK

I get the most bad pic & audio problems on TWSCN when I'm trying to watch Laker games. If i go up or down 1 channel the pic & audio are great. I wonder if it's due to not enough bandwidth and too much demand on one channel. I need a solution. I've tried all the reboots (did it 3 times last night) before I saw that it was only ch. 1071.

Video channels don't experience "bandwidth" issues in the sense you're thinking. The signal is linear and therefore it doesn't matter how many customers are viewing a program at any particular time. Think about how over the air broadcast TV works for example. Heavy TV watchers don't "*** up" all the available signal. A service call would probably go a long way towards resolving many of the issues you're experiencing.

We have the same issue on all of our TVs even though only one is connected to the Digital box and it drops out/freezes/stutters/goes blank on all different stations. No one can can give us assistance. We have checked all the connections in the house, the only one left is the one on the phone pole outside our home.

Scheduling a service visit would likely help with that. Should the tech find that the issues persist and everything is correct at the home he/she would open a ticket with our maintenance team to investigate everything from the tap and beyond.

Yes, ever since I switched to Cox Digital TV my picture and audio has suffered a tremendous loss of quality. Sometimes I swear I only get half of the audio, and that includes during commercials, which someone is paying Cox good money for. But I can't hear anything half the time because their service just flat **. I actually called the technical support line, not because I really thought they could fix it (because I was pretty sure they couldn't - it's their product, not my equipment), but because I thought that since they are wasting my time with a poor product then I'm going to waste their "technician" time with useless exercises such as re-booting the cable box.
The reality is Cox Digitital TV **, and it has for quite sometime.

I have had the same issue (pixilation and audio problems) since I switched to an HD DVR just a little over a year ago. So far I have had to return 4 of the boxes and it looks like I will be returning the 5th on Monday. I have called each time and have been put through the same tired routine only to have the service person tell me they have done all they can and to return the box. This is totally unacceptable service. Either get different boxes or at least check them out before sending them back out to consumers. I am seriously considering cancelling Cox for my TV and going with someone else. For $173 a month you would expect better service and products.
