I have had issues with my internet intermittently slowing down and dropping since day one. I have had somewhere around 9 technicians out in the past year and not one has resolved my issue. Each technician gave a different reason and provided a different excuse in why they could not complete the work and would have to send someone out, or that someone would call me. No one would ever come out to fix it or call after they would leave. This has been the worst and most unprofessional service I have ever paid for and I am at my patience end. I just had a technician out on 2/3/2015 yet again and my issue is still not resolved. We swapped my modem/router out for the 5th or 6th time and he informed us there were errors on our line coming in. He said this was interfering with our internet service and is the cause of the slow speeds and intermittent connection issues. He let me know that there wasn't anything he could do and would submit a "work order" for a line technician to clear the errors in the line(whatever that means.) Here it is almost a week later and still the same issue as usual.

Hello sktabor,
I can certainly understand your frustration and we want to assist you with this internet issue. It would seem that the last tech needed to put in a ticked for a maintenance tech for the outside line. Please send us an email with your full address to cox.help@cox.com so we can check on this order for you.

sktabor:
I understand, when they do come out, They are mostly late and I have to take off work. On my latest "NO SERVICE CALL" they said the trouble was the modem was plugged into a power-strip and should be plug into the wall socket. AFTER THE MANY PREVIOUS TECHS SAID USE A POWER-STRIP. I am sure 110 is 110 and the modem is powered by a battery in it when 110 power is down, so is the battery 110? Is this the first 100% 110 volt powered modem with a 110 volt battery for the home? Then said the "TECH" said the 3 foot Cat5e and two 4 foot Cat6 cables could not handle the load without even looking at the cables. I want what is what is being used between my house and COX because it never goes bad and is always running right but somehow NEVER FAILS, the cables THEY keep replacing in my house will go bad in weeks or months. One other stupid thing he said was, I should just plug straight in the modem. I have one in collage and another working on a Masters I guess I will put a number system up so we can use the internet like a one hole outhouse. Too much more to write on this latest "NO SERVICE CALL."
