Okay, I am stumped. This was super easy on TiVo but we decided to try Contour vs. a Roamio due to the cost. We have a number of series recorded but there appears to be absolutely no way to determine the original broadcast date. An example is Deadliest Catch. We have 25 of them recorded. We have no idea which are reruns and which are new. We have no idea which order to watch them in. Is there any way to show this?
I did try searching the forums but couldnt figure out a keyword to search and didnt see anything.
Thanks

You should have stayed with TiVo.
After about 2 years of paying for the Contour DVR, you would have paid off a Roamio with Lifetime service.

Thanks Bryan. That may be true after the teaser rate is up but for now they had a good enough deal that a Contour six channel and phone added to the account only bumped us about $20.00 a month. Saving us $60.00 a month on home phone so a net win of $40.00 a month. After the teaser we will probably switch to Roamio since our bill will increase nearly $100.00.
But for now it isnt just me right? There is no way to do this? I am surprised that Contour customers are not screaming bloody murder. What good is a DVR to record programs if there is no way to tell which one to watch first?
Thanks again for your reply.

Bryan - one other question - does the Roamio get all of the Cox channels? I have a Series 3 HD TiVo and even with the Tuner it only gets about 2/3 of the channels we now see with Contour. Our other HD Tivo (next generation after the 3 but I dont recall the model) gets all but about 15 of the channels but the tuner is constantly going out, resetting, losing connection etc. It is truly a pain. I have been very surprised at Contour and all the channels that have all the sudden showed up. If I still have to deal with cablecards and tuners with Roamio that is going to ***. I hear this is just a Cox thing. My friends back east who have other cable services dont have this issue.

Yes, a Roamio, even a Premiere, (with a Tuning Adapter) will/should receive every channel that the Cox Contour does, It is an FCC Requirement, that if the Retail hardware is capable, then Cox must provide every channel that their most advanced equipment can to CableCARD users.

Lately Cox has been having issues providing all the channels, in the Gainsville, FL market and in Kansas/Arkansas markets.
Cox CSRs have also been telling CableCARD Customers, that they are not entiltled to the Contour HD channels without renting the Contour equipment. This is absolutely False, and should be reported to the FCC when this happens.
