Amplifier
My tv needs an amplifier it did not need one before cox required all the televisions to have a mini box. Does cox provide their customers with the amplifiers for free or is there a fee?

I have had two amplifiers installed, one I paid for, and one I didn't. I think the rule is there is a cost for the amp, but sometimes the technicians leave it out of their paperwork. It shouldn't be too much though, see here for a general idea of cost, but Cox may charge something different. As per here, it does look included under their wire plan(CSPP).

Unless your cable has splitters in it or is a long run it shouldn't need an amplifier. If it dose have a splitter make sure it's connections are tight and not damaged.
